New Stuff & New Stuff

cheese

It's been a while since I did a blog post (or anything else twolofbees.com related for that matter), so I thought it'd be a good idea to post a new one and highlight a recent update we made to the site.

Website Updates

New tab update indicatorsTo make twolofbees.com more returning-visitor friendly, we've added "new" icons (they look like this New!) to anything that's been updated since your last visit. That goes for comics, artwork and blog posts.

To help direct you towards the new stuff, each tab has a little count of the new items in its section that pops down as you mouse over (they'll hang around for the rest of the day).

Since this is the first time we've ever done anything with "cookies" (they store information on your visit so that we can look at it next time and work out what you haven't seen), I figure we should make a little disclaimer saying that we don't do anything with the information we collect other than provide you with the stuff that this site does unless otherwise stated (we haven't got anything planned at the moment, but that doesn't mean we won't try other cool things down the track. Regardless, our goal will never be spying on our visitors or collecting data to pass on to other people without permission).

All this has allowed us to get rid of the updates page (which is a little sad for me because I liked the way it highlighted each of our artwork, but I can see that it was visually weaker, and didn't offer a lot that was really worthwhile.

Exciting Photography Stuff

Together Till The EndIn other news, I've just finished sorting through my photo collection with the hopes that I'll be able to sell prints and postcards of some of them. It's taken me 7 months to sort through 50,000 photos, but I've managed to narrow them down to 15 of the best - an exhausting task that has not only kept me worn out physically, but also mentally (when I started, I wasn't particularly prepared to relive the last 11 years of my life).

I've now got a placeholder website up at jbushproductions.com, which points to a print on demand store where framed prints, postcards, unframed prints and greeting cards of my stuff can be shipped all over the world. Exciting!

A Piece Of My HeartThere's not much there yet, but I'll be adding more stuff over the next few months. Of particular note are Together Till The End and A Piece Of My Heart, both of which are also here on twolofbees.com. Depending upon how things go, I might get some more two lof bees stuff up there (that's your cue to email me and say how much you'd love to buy lof bee stickers, put Lof Balloon posters all over your wall and wear loftopus t-shirts every day of the week).
